what is beef tallow?
Beef Tallow is a carefully rendered fat derived from the SUET - The nutrient-rich fat surrounding the kidneys and loins - of cattle. Our Tallow being Grass-fed and Finished comes from cattle raised on a natural grass diet without grains, hormones, or antibiotics. Resulting in a PURE, NUTRIENT-DENSE FAT, rich in omega 3's, CLA and vitamins A, D, E & K.
Are all your tallow products safe for acne prone skin?
Overall, yes, they are. However, we specifically created out BARE IT ALL TALLOW CREAM to specially support those with prominent skin conditions, with natural additions such as Sea Buckthorn and Neem Oil – both healing powerhouses!
Is your tallow also grass-finished?
Absolutely! Not only is it grass-finished the livestock our tallow comes from are completely raised free range and feed on natural grasses. Treated with the highest care and welfare, with no added hormones or antibiotics into their systems.
Does Livia’s Tallow use sustainable and ethical practices?
Yes! Our commitment is to only source ingredients, tallow, oils and scents that are
natural/organic to the best of our knowledge. Tallow being an animal byproduct, would otherwise end up in a landfill and be wasted if not appreciated by people like us – we look at putting tallows benefits to the most wonderful of uses... caring for you and your loved one's skin.
How long does Livia’s tallow last?
Livia’s Tallow products can last for a LONG time! A little goes a long way! If you follow the storage recommendations of keeping it below 30 degrees Celsius, keeping it in its jar and out of direct sunlight – 12 months. That’s if you can get yours to last that long without emptying the jar because of how much you love it! (and family members taking a few swipes without your knowledge).
